Hotel Torino enjoys an
unrivalled location in the old municipal boundary (or

Versace and Bulgari, direclty conducts to St. Mark's Square,
"the drawing room of Europe". The Square is dominated by the
Basilica, the Doge's Palace and the Bell Tower, ageless symbols
of Venice's greatness. This glorious view really leaves visitors
speechless. From St. Mark's Square, walking along the typical
narrow streets of Venice (the "calli"), plenty of workshops
selling leather goods and goldsmith's crafts, and galleries with
Murano glass creations you will reach Rialto, located within a
short walking distance. Rialto Bridge and its surroundings offer
an outstanding view of the Grand Canal, especially at the sunset.
How to reach us.
By air.
The major airlines fly into Marco Polo Airport, also known as
Venice International Airport (airport code: VCE), which is 15 km
or 9.30 miles from the city on the Venetian lagoon and Hotel
Torino. There are several options for getting to Venice and
Hotel Torino from Marco Polo airport: Follow the signs outside "Arrivals"
terminal doors to the Alilaguna hydrofoil's boat pier. The trip
takes about 1 hour to St. Mark's Square. From the landing point,
walk to Via XXII Marzo and follow street to end until you come
to Calle delle Ostreghe, where Hotel Torino is located.
Otherwise, take a water taxi, but always remember to enquire the
fare before leaving. Alternatively take an Atvo coach or an Actv
public bus to Piazzale Roma. The trip takes about 30 minutes.
From Piazzale Roma, follow "By car" directions to the property.
Visitors arriving at Antonio Canova aiport of Treviso can take a
shuttle bus to Venice Mestre which connects with the arrivals of
flights and reaches Venice in about 45/50 minutes.
By rail. Visitors travelling by train into Venice will
arrive at Venezia Santa Lucia Railway Station. From there, they
can take vaporetto No. 1 and get off at Santa Maria del Giglio.
In Santa Maria del Giglio square, turn right and cross the Ponte
delle Ostreghe (Ostreghe bridge), Hotel Torino located is nearby. |
By car. Once over the Ponte della Libertà , cars must be
left at one of the parks available in Piazzale Roma. After
parking your car, you can take the waterbus called "vaporetto"
to reach Hotel Torino. The ACTV runs public transport in the
city with departures from Piazzale Roma landing station every 10
- 12 minutes of waterbus No 1 and follow "By rail" directions to
the property. Alternatively, you can leave your car at one of
the parks available on the Island of Tronchetto and from there
take vaporetto No. 82, get off at S. Marco and walk to Via XXII
Marzo, following street to end until you come to Calle delle
Ostreghe, where Hotel Torino is located.
